When a shipment goes out, your customer would probably like to be able track it via the carrier’s tracking number, MsFx can send an email with the tracking information directly to your customer with an embedded link that will take them directly to the carrier’s website with the tracking number filled in. Included in the email is information about the order, how to contact the sales rep, and attachments like the Packing List and any MTRs.

There are three steps to activating the tracking email feature

  1. Notify us of which carriers you want to use tracking information for. We will then update your carrier records with the proper links to their respective website tracking pages.
  2. Once a Shipment has be generated, go to the Shipment screen and enter the tracking number for the carrier you have chosen. If that field is not enterable, then the carrier you are using for the shipment has not yet been setup for tracking.

  3. Finally, enter the email address of the person who did the ordering.

Once all the information has been entered, the Send Tracking button becomes active. Clicking on that button will send the tracking email to the email address in the Ordered By Email text field.

You can tell if an email has been sent by seeing if a checkmark is next to the Tracking Number field. If it is checked, then email has been sent.

You can also add your company’s logo to the header of the email. Just let us know which image you would like to use.

Try it out on any shipment by setting it up as outline above but put your email address into the Ordered By Email field. Just don’t save the shipment record after doing this.
